Explore the City

Sofitel is located just moments from Adelaide’s finest shopping destination, Rundle Mall. Rundle Mall is a buzzing retail precinct, home to laneways, arcades and storefronts. It offers the best of both global brands and favourite local designers.

The city is a sporting mecca, home to the iconic Adelaide Oval. The Ashes cricket test series and AFL football are among the many sporting matches hosted here each year.

If you wish to get active yourself, there are amazing walking trails, hiking tracks, running and riding pathways to explore. Home of the Tour Down Under cycling race each January, the city is a very popular destination to explore by bike. Visit Experience Adelaide for many walking, hiking and biking trail maps.

Experience the city’s rich culture with a walk down North Terrace. From the east to the west, there’s the National Wine Centre of Australia, the Adelaide Botanic Garden, the Art Gallery of South Australia, Migration Museum, South Australia Museum, the State Library, Government House, Parliament House and Adelaide Casino. If this doesn’t exhaust you enough, the Adelaide Zoo is just steps away on Frome Road as is the Adelaide Festival Centre on King William Road.
